The True Mind is the core concept of Neidan beyond which nothing is more important.

It is also a deep and somewhat difficult idea to fully understand.

Although Neidan practice discusses heaven, earth, action, non action, lead and mercury, dragon and tiger, Jing and Shen, pre and post heaven and many other ideas, all of them are held together by the True Mind, also known as the Matchmaker.

If you already know basic ideas of Neidan (for instance, you might have taken the Neidan for Absolute Beginners Course, or read a couple documents with or other teachers) this is a great next step.

It is hard to describe in a short bit of text how essential this idea is in Neidan, but all those things you've heard of like the Marriage of Kan and Li, cultivating the Dantian, rotating the heavenly orbit, and almost everything else totally hinges on this essential subject.

The simple way to explain it is that the mind has two parts, one interacts with the world of form and the other with formlessness. One is generated by the heart and one by the kidneys, but there is so much more to it than that.

In this course we will look at core texts such as Understanding Reality, Xing Ming Gui Zhi and much more.

If you want to really understand the use of the mind in Neidan, this is a great course to take!!

What you will learn:

Unit 1: What are Yi, Zhen Yi, Kan and Li and the Matchmaker:

In this unit you will learn the core concepts of how the true mind connects the Yin spirit and Yang essence of the human body to attain the union of Kan and Li.

Unit 2: The Harmony of Feeling and Nature:

in the second unit you will learn about how True Yin is the intrinsic nature of our being and True Yang is the active life force, how they are wood and metal contained within fire and water, and how the Post-Heaven form mind is used to cultivate the Pre-Heaven formless mind.

Unit 3: Reading True Earth chapter of Xing Ming Gui Zhi:

Xing Ming Gui Zhi is one of the best texts used to analyze the concept of True Mind. In this unit we will read the relevant chapter in order to understand the idea more deeply.

Unit 4: The Six Main Stages of Timing the Fire:

the use of the mind is also incorporated in the Neidan fire timing method.

In this unit you will learn about the main stages of generation, harvesting, advancing the Yang fire, retreating the Yin fire and the two halves of ritual bathing practice.
