Internal Alchemy Fundamentals: The Eight Extraordinary Meridians
Neidan Fundamentals: Neidan Meridian System of the Small and Large Heavenly Orbits:
The Eight Extraordinary Meridians are essential features of Internal Alchemy practice, but do you know how they are used?
Most books written in English about this subject are wrong and confuse Qigong and Neidan.
In this course you will learn how the meridian system works at different stages of practice, what order the meridians open, and most importantly how to begin the process of opening the meridians and how to continue to make progress once they begin to move!
When: Sundays from June 9 to 30, 8-9 AM,
Where: ZOOM recordings with video available after class,
What you get: PDFs including my lessons as well as related Internal Alchemy documents, weekly ZOOM lectures and lifetime access to recordings.
How Much: $100 USD for the series.
Neidan,Qigong, the Internal Arts and Chinese Medicine all use the meridian system, but they are all different. Unfortunately the meridians are one of the most poorly understood aspects of internal alchemy in the west, but let's change that!
In this course you will learn the anatomy and physiology of each of the eight extraordinary meridians relative to important points of energy collection such as the Dantians and various cavities around the body.
You will also learn the nature of cultivating pre-heaven Yang energy in the meridians, the feature of Neidan that makes it unique from other methods which cultivate mixed post-heaven Yin and Yang Qi and thus cannot completely transform the energy body.
Neidan is the only system which emphasizes the exchange of pre-heaven and post-heaven in order to create powerful internal energy and refine it into a medicinal elixir which can ultimately result in spiritual realization.
The use of the meridians and Dantians is a unique feature of Neidan practice and is extremely important if you want to learn this style.
In this class you will learn the nature of:
- the Zi Wu Orbit of the Du and Ren Meridians: the Zi Wu Orbit connects the Qi from the lower body to the head and back to the abdomen, it also regulates the Du Meridian “Sea of Marrow” and Ren Meridian “Sea of Yin.”
- The Qiao and Wei Meridians: these meridians connect the entire body from head to toe and back, they open at different times during practice and are essential for the Neidan study of “Refining the Form,” which is an important intermediate level practice.
- The Mao You Orbit: the Mao You Orbit connects the body diagonally and can be considered as connecting the Dai Meridian, it is the level of practice at the end of the Small Orbit leading to the beginning of the Large Orbit,
- How the Twelve Upright Meridians connect the the Extraordinary Meridians and how they are gradually connected over time,
Neidan practice takes 100 days to collect the basic medicine, 3 years to build the large medicine, and between 5 years and a decade to finish the large orbit, but without the core understanding of how the meridians work it will be difficult even to get past the three month beginning stage.
This course is a great way to learn the nature of the meridians and will also include valuable texts and pictures from Xing Ming Gui Zhi, the most complete Internal Alchemy text ever written.
I will start uploading media and the ZOOM link a few days before the start date.
PDFs, links, and class videos can be accessed via the gumroad app.
